Milan was our last stop in our Europe trip and we just wanted to spend our last day getting a glimpse of the city of fashion and design. In just a day, we walked through the 3rd largest Gothic cathedral in world - Duomo and roamed around the streets of fashion district where we could not really afford alot of the bougie brands. 24 hours was definitely enough to see the central area if your purpose is not to shop there.
The Duomo Cathedral was one of the most impressive attractions in Milan. You can see the influence of Gothic style in all the details of the building. I was impressed by how the building is sustained and how we could go walk on top of the roof to enjoy the city view of Milan.
Since we got a little extra time in our hand, we did the Quadrilatero della Moda (“Golden Rectangle”) where we explored Milan Fashion District (via Montenapoleone, via Sant’Andrea and via della Spiga).
