Design for San Diego (D4SD)
Design for San Diego (D4SD) is an initiative that seeks to explore complex civic problems through design thinking and crowdsourcing, led by the UC San Diego Design Lab—with support from the National Science Foundation, Design Forward Alliance and SCALE SD. D4SD structures a process of discovery, ideation, prototyping and implementing solutions inspired by the principles of human-centered design.

Redefining Point of View
First, we went back to recap our results from our 2017 Civic Challenge that focused on transportation and mobility. We revisited our goals and proposition and designed a pitch deck to present our insights to our partners to support our 2020 Civic Design Challenge.
A whitepaper is also designed to promote D4SD to educators, government employees, and business partners. The whitepaper summarizes design solutions and insights from our 2017 Civic Design Challenge.
To rebrand D4SD to generate more community engagment for our next Civic Design Challenge, we created more specific personas to target when we launch our communication plans.
